Petr Hruška & Ťovajz a spol.: Best Song

The loose formation Ťovajz a spol. emerged around the turn of the millennium, centered around the Brno underground musician and composer Víťa "Ťovajz" Holata, primarily as the backing band for the poet Jaroslav Erik Frič. In 2019, the CD Hořící berdej was created, on which, unfortunately already without Erik's voice. At Author's Reading Month festival Ťovajz a spol. will perform a new composition based on Petr Hruška's texts.

Petr Hruška, born in 1964 in Ostrava, has written eight poetry collections (his debut being Obývací nepokoje (Living Room Disorders) in 1995, and the most recent one Spatřil jsem svou tvář (I've Seen My Face) in 2022). He pursues history of literare (monographs on poets Karel Šiktanac and Ivan Wernisch), works at the Institute for Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. He has prepared the publication of Jan Balabán's three-volume works.
